China on course for success: larger premises inaugurated

“When we opened H2O Kunshan in 2015, we had 15 installations in China and there were three members of staff. Today we are running over 60 facilities with 13 members of staff. That is why we had outgrown our storage and office facilities,” explains Uwe Hanschke, Managing Director at H2O Kunshan. There was also a desire to keep the most commonly sold systems in China in stock in order to enable quicker delivery. “This is essential for Chinese production facilities. Just a couple of weeks can pretty much determine whether the operation will have to close due to strict environmental constraints. That is why we need to be able to respond quickly here in China.”

The new building now provides 270 m² of office space and around 1,700 m² of hall space. The new location is about 500 metres as the crow flies from the old location.

At the end of the opening ceremony, Uwe Hanschke, former managing director of H2O Kunshan (on the right), symbolically handed over the relay baton to the new managing director Roland Lochner.

The inauguration of the new premises also marked the departure of Managing Director Uwe Hanschke and the arrival of new Managing Director Roland Lochner. He has been involved with H2O on a day-to-day basis since last year and will take on his full managerial responsibilities from April.

Uwe Hanschke will be staying with H2O, taking on new responsibilities overseeing application engineering at the company’s headquarters in Steinen in Germany.
