Hardening shops can minimise their disposal costs through double recycling.

When replacing quenching baths in the hardening shop, there are two cost-intensive challenges: Wastewater containing salt must be disposed of at high cost, and the salt that is lost due to salt carry-over must be added at high cost. The innovation team of H2O GmbH has therefore developed a new technology for vacuum distillation that enables a double circulation for both water and salt. This considerably reduces disposal and operating costs.

Traditionally, electroplating processes are used to apply functional or decorative metal coatings to steel or iron surfaces. More recent developments are now also leading to an increasing demand for plastic electroplating, which uses plastic as the substrate for the metal coating.

The cleaner the rinse water, the better the pre-treatment. For the high-quality treatment of rinse water from a wide range of industrial productions, vacuum distillation has established itself as one of the most economical and sustainable methods. In case of H2O this also includes solutions for very high quality requirements and strict COD limits.
