Events, website, press relations, webinars, mailings, social media - the work in marketing at H2O is anything but boring. Today, marketing consultant Jill Kahl gives us a little insight into her world - both professional and private.

 

Jill, you are the main social media officer at H2O. What is your favorite social media and why?

Instagram. I like the diversity. You can get a lot of inspiration. Personally, I like to do it for my next holiday destinations.

 

What's your next holiday destination?

That's South Tyrol, I've always wanted to go there for a long time.

 

How many times a day do you check your social media accounts?

That’s a difficult question to answer. Very very often, I don't count. It's the first thing I do in the morning and the last thing in the evening while brushing my teeth. For work-related reasons, I'm on LinkedIn a lot, following the developments of our account or looking around for new topics - so actually, you could say I'm always checking social media.

 

How important do you think social media is for companies?

Very important. Especially at the current time, when events and trade fairs are cancelled, it is the medium that is close to the customers. Customer acquisition and customer loyalty are the top priorities here. This is also enormously important in our industry.

 

Why is it so interesting for H2O?

LinkedIn is most interesting for us. We can attract attention and stay in touch with our national and international customers. In addition, our constantly growing reach also ensures that more and more companies become aware of the advantages of wastewater-free production. In this way, we are getting closer to our vision of a wastewater-free future for industry.

 

What will be your next project?

I don't want to give too much away. I'm sure some of you have noticed that we've been working more on the topic of moving images. We want to take it to the next level. I think 2021 will be very promising. We can look forward to it.

 

What was the nicest compliment someone once paid you?

Well... I don't know if it's the nicest one now, but it's the most present right now. Some weeks ago, my colleague passed on a compliment from a client: we had "simply a graciously-good website". That made me very happy, of course, because we've put a lot of work into the relaunch over the last six months.

 

What would you get up in the middle of the night for?

Flammkuchen!

 

If you had three wishes: What would they be?

... that I continue to have the freedom to travel and see many countries.

... that my favorite people all stay healthy.

... (thinks long and hard) ... and ... world peace? (laughs) It's not so easy for me to formulate the third wish. So far, everything has worked out well in my life, so maybe that's my wish: that it just stays that way.
